Dispelling Spiritual Misconceptions

Millennium

Rev. Neil Steven Lawrence, M.Div.

The book of Revelation and End Times prophecies are very clear that Jesus Christ will rule this sinful earth for 1,000 years. (Rev.20:1-7)

1. Jesus will be called the Prince of Peace because only he will have successfully brought peace to the fallen earth. (Isa. 7:14, 9:6, 52:7, 53:5; Jer. 23:5-6; Rom. 5:1-2; Heb.7:2, 13:20)

2. He will rule from Jerusalem. The land around the city of Jerusalem will be laid flat by the greatest earthquake in mankind‘s history (Rev. 11:13) so that people will be able to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles from all the nations of the world. (Zech.14:16)

3. After coming back in the Second Coming with Jesus (Rev. 19:14), all the saints from ages past including us (the Rapture Saints) and even the Great Tribulation Saints – who the Bible says will come to life and reign with Christ for 1000 years; will help Him rule the earth – kind of like the Angels are doing now. (Rev. 20:4)

4. The earth will be replenished; the forests will be restored; the animals will be multiplied; the deserts will recede; the lion will lay down with the lamb; and I believe the earth will be able to hold even 50 billion people on it –  to fulfill God‘s original command to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. (Gen. 1:28; Isaiah 11:6) This is in direct contradistinction to the demonic Globalist doctrines of population control.

5. All the nations of the earth will be taught by Jesus to live a righteous life and, therefore, they will live to old age as Isaiah says, “Someone who dies at 100 will be thought to be cursed.“ (Isaiah 65:20-25) The sin principle will still be among mankind, but it will be under the control of salvation, sanctification, and the fruit of the Spirit.

6. Any nation that does not go up to worship King Jesus in Jerusalem each year will have rain restricted from their land. (Zech. 14:17)

7. At the end of the 1,000-year Millennial Reign of Christ, Satan will be let out of the pit and will deceive people on the earth to rebel against King Jesus. They will surround Jerusalem seeking to destroy God’s Kingdom on earth, as the armies of Armageddon at the Second Coming had done. (Rev. 20:7-10)

8. At that moment fire will come down from heaven and destroy the earth and the heavens completely. (2 Pet. 3:12; Rev. 20:9) All the Saints throughout history & saints that are still on earth will migrate and resurrect to the Great White Throne Judgment. (Rev. 20:11-15)

9. The Great White Throne Judgment will take place, and all the sinners throughout history will be thrown into the Lake of Fire (including Death and Hell. (Rev. 20:14) The Saints throughout the ages will now receive their rewards. (Rev. 21)

10. The old heaven and old earth having been obliterated by fire will cease to exist. The New Heaven and New Earth and New Jerusalem are established, into which all believers throughout the ages and all holy angels will move. (Rev. 21:1-2)

11. The eternal reign of Christ begins. (Rev. 21)

Summary:

The Millennial Reign will take place with the sin principle still on the earth. Since it will last 1,000 years and since I believe billions of people will be on the earth during that time, it is likely that a majority of them will except Jesus as their God and Savior.

They will follow Jesus’ direction and live righteous lives even though the sin principle still exists. This is exactly what we are doing now only we don’t have Jesus as our King on the earth. How much better will that be than our current situation?

The way I see it:  God has made various times and conditions throughout history to create different types of harvests for his eternal Kingdom.
